As we've hopefully made clear in your invitations, our two receptions are not being held on the same day, or even in the same city. There is a very (very) small reception being held on the day of the wedding in Weetwood Hall. For everyone else who made it to the wedding thank you, feel free to enjoy our fair city and we will hopefully see you at our larger reception in Leicester. If you want the name of some good lunchtime restaurants in Leeds let us know and we'll get back to you.
For the Weetwood Hall goers without personal transportation, we will be updating the blog with taxi numbers, bus stops, hovercraft hire, etc. later.
SatNav junkies with a car should punch in LS16 5PS and feel smug all the way to the door. Everyone else should know that, by luck, Weetwood Hall is pretty easy to get to as long as you get on the right road and stay on it. Getting on the right road is the hardest and earliest thing you have to do. It means having to contend with the dreaded Loop road again.
If you have succesfully parked at The Light then you need to come out of the exit (by turning left) and turn right at the next corner. You will then have to turn right and will be back on the Loop. Get yourself in the left hand lane approaching the next junction (J6) and turn left towards Headingley, following this sign:

You will now be on Woodhouse Lane.
Anyone who didn't manage to park at The Light will have to travel all the way around the Loop until they come back to junction 6 and turn left into Woodhouse Lane. You will at least get a tour of Leeds City Centre from the subjective viewpoint of an angry motorist.
Once you are onWoodhouse Lane, stay on it! Even when it changes it's name to Headingley Lane and Otley Road, even when it seems to turn at right angles. You will go past both Universities, Woodhouse Moor, Headingley and Beckett Park. After Headingley the traffic should stop being such a problem. From the University onwards this road is the A660. You need to stay on it until you see a large new(ish) PFI School on your left hand side. This is Lawnswood School and immediately after this there is a roundabout with the A6120. There will also be a road sign directing you to exactly where you need to go; you need to go around the roundabout and double back on yourself, turning left immediately afterwards. You will enter the grounds through a winding road and will be directed towards the visitors car park.
After parking you will need to find your way to the main building (follow signs to reception) and you should notice members of our party by the black door on the right hand side of the courtyard. There is another reception happenning on the day so make sure you are with the right party (or join them if they look like more fun). You will be passed some sort of beverage and will be allowed to start celebrating in style.
Weetwood Hall do offer their own map of how to get there, but I don't suggest looking at it unless you are an emeritus professor of topology and are up for a challenge.
